Donald Trump, the President of the United States, recently claimed that the recent stagnation of the US stock market is due to the policies of former President Joe Biden. According to Walter Bloomberg, on the 30th (local time), Trump stated, "The current stock market is Biden's stock market, not Trump's," and emphasized, "This is unrelated to tariffs, and tariffs will soon be implemented."

President Trump dismissed the criticism that his tariff policy had negatively impacted the market, arguing that the current stock market trends are the result of the economic structure left by the previous administration. He also argued that linking market reactions with the US's import tariff expansion policy, which has not yet been fully implemented, is premature.

These remarks came amid the recent US stock market entering a correction phase due to complex factors such as tariff policies and interest rate uncertainties, and there is also evaluation that they are statements by President Trump to avoid responsibility for economic policies.
