ETH Volatility surges…Larger price movement expected than BTC

Ethereum (ETH) has recently shown stronger price volatility than Bitcoin (BTC), and an analysis suggests it could exhibit even more explosive movements in the future. According to The Block, Sean Dawson, head of Derive Research, reported that "ETH's 7-day volatility once surged to 90%, significantly surpassing BTC."

In contrast, Bitcoin's volatility only slightly increased from 37% to 42% during the same period. Dawson analyzed this as a "signal that ETH could experience much greater price fluctuations than BTC in the future."

Dawson continued, "Initially, the target price for BTC this year was set at $150,000, but considering the current situation, $200,000 could become a feasible target." He noted that the inflow of institutional funds is steadily increasing, and macroeconomic factors are showing stabilization, expecting the cryptocurrency market to remain strong for the rest of the year.
