Institutional investors 90%, Stablecoin utilization or consideration of adoption ongoing

It has been revealed that 90% of institutional investors are already utilizing stablecoins or considering their use. According to Cointelegraph, Fireblocks, an institution-only cryptocurrency custody and payment platform, announced the results of a survey conducted on 295 executives from traditional banks, financial institutions, and fintech companies.

Among the respondents, 49% said they are already using stablecoins as a payment method, 23% are in the pilot test stage, and 15% are in the adoption planning stage. On the other hand, only 10% of institutions have not yet decided on utilization.

Fireblocks explained that "traditional banks are actively using stablecoins as a cross-border payment method" because "they can solve inefficiencies such as high fees and payment delays in the existing financial system."

Experts predict that stablecoins will bring cost reduction and speed improvements in international payments and are likely to establish themselves as an important payment method in the global financial market.
