Global credit rating agency Moody’s has completed a credit rating test on Solana blockchain-based token securities, CoinDesk reported on 11th (local time). This experiment was conducted in collaboration with tokenized finance startup AlphaLedger.

Moody's stated, “We continue to experiment with how traditional credit rating models can be applied to digital financial assets,” adding, “Our goal is to establish criteria for evaluating credit risk when tokenized securities are traded in real markets.”

This test is interpreted as a signal that credit rating agencies are starting to actively engage in the digital asset market amid the trend of blockchain technology merging with traditional finance. Attention is paid to whether it will lead to institutionalization of the token securities (STO) market and expansion of institutional participation in the future.
