Donald Trump, the president of the United States, strongly denied the recent speculation about peace negotiations with Iran. On the 17th (local time), he stated on his social media platform, Truth Social, "I have not been in contact for any form of 'peace negotiations' with Iran. It's all fabricated fake news."

He continued by saying that "If Iran really wanted to talk, they would have known how to contact me," claiming that Iran should have accepted the conditions he had previously presented. He added, "If Iran had accepted that proposal, countless lives could have been saved."

Amidst the rapidly changing situation in the Middle East, some raised the possibility of informal contact between the U.S. and Iran, but President Trump directly denied this.
