Jingdong.com, known as 'China's Amazon,' is seeking to secure a global license for issuing stablecoins. According to local media Sina Finance, Jingdong.com's Liu Qiangdong announced plans to apply for stablecoin-related licenses in major countries worldwide.

Jingdong.com intends to significantly innovate the international payment system through this. In particular, it aims to reduce payment costs by 90% compared to existing systems and to reduce processing time to within 10 seconds.

This movement aligns with the trend of global retail giants like Walmart and Amazon considering the introduction of their own stablecoins, and it is expected to accelerate changes in the payment paradigm within the e-commerce industry.
