CNN reported that the U.S. government is considering easing sanctions on Iran. According to Walter Bloomberg on the 26th (local time), this discussion seems to be proceeding in conjunction with the recent ceasefire after the military conflict between Iran and Israel and President Donald Trump's announcement of nuclear negotiations with Iran.
The U.S. government has not specified which sanctions will be eased, but there is speculation that some key sanctions items, such as energy exports or financial access restrictions, may be adjusted. This is interpreted as a move to induce Iran's participation in negotiations and curb the resumption of nuclear development.
Previously, President Trump stated, "We will have some kind of relationship with Iran," and expressed that possession of nuclear weapons will never be allowed. The easing of sanctions appears to be an attempt by the U.S. to balance 'pressure and dialogue', and there is considerable weight on the possibility that the negotiation table between the two countries will be fully operational in the future.
