United States President Donald Trump officially notified the imposition of additional tariffs on eight countries, including Brazil. On the 9th (local time), Trump continued his firm trade pressure by sequentially releasing the tariff imposition letters sent to various national leaders through his social media platform, Truth Social.
The countries targeted for tariffs include Brazil, Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya, and Sri Lanka, a total of eight countries. Among them, Brazil is subject to the highest tariff rate of 50%, while Libya, Iraq, Algeria, and Sri Lanka are subject to 30%, Brunei and Moldova to 25%, and the Philippines to 20%. Trump has so far sent tariff imposition letters to a total of 22 countries.
