The United States and China confronting each other strongly due to the tariff war

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, presented an optimistic outlook on the trade negotiations with China.

On the 10th (local time), during the White House cabinet meeting, President Trump stated, “I think the negotiations with China will go well.” This is the first positive message amid the recently heightened U.S.-China tariff conflict, raising expectations for future tension relief.

Previously, President Trump announced a 90-day deferment on reciprocal tariffs for most countries except China. However, the White House emphasized that they will take a firm stance on China and apply a total tariff of 145%.

In this situation, President Trump's direct mention of the possibility of negotiations with China implies the potential resumption of high-level communication between the two countries. In fact, it has been reported that the U.S. recently proposed a phone call between the leaders of the two countries.

In the market, Trump's remarks are being interpreted as a “typical tactic of balancing pressure and negotiation,” along with the analysis that there is an intention to demonstrate diplomatic flexibility amid heightened financial market instability.
