XRP, Aims To Lead The Tokenization Of Real Assets Market… "Expected To Grow To 19 Trillion Dollars By 2033"

The cryptocurrency XRP issued by Ripple is intensifying moves to lead the Real-World Asset Tokenization (RWA) market. Investment media The Motley Fool reported on the 13th (local time) quoting a joint analysis by Ripple and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), stating that the market is expected to grow to approximately 19 trillion dollars by 2033.

Tokenization is the concept of digitizing ownership or related information of actual assets such as real estate, stocks, and commodities by linking them to blockchain-based tokens. The current scale of tokenized real-world assets is about 600 billion dollars, but XRP already has a history of trading assets of more than one trillion dollars on-chain.

The reason XRP is attracting attention is due to its practical financial efficiency. Major assets like U.S. Treasury bonds are traded in real-time through the XRP Ledger, and financial institutions or asset management companies are considering it as new infrastructure. As advantages such as improved transaction speed, cost reduction, and reduction of intermediaries are highlighted, the XRP platform is gradually expanding its presence.

Additionally, XRP is also targeting the so-called 'Flywheel Effect' based on network effects. As more assets are traded, user preference increases, leading to a virtuous cycle of increased transaction volume.

However, there are still variables in securing market dominance. Although XRP is leading the RWA tokenization field, the pursuit by start-ups with specialized solutions is intense. The possibility of existing financial institutions building their own blockchain systems to attempt independent tokenization cannot be ignored. Moreover, the fact that asset movement through the XRP blockchain is not directly linked to the value of the XRP token itself is also noted as a constraint.

Nevertheless, The Motley Fool predicted that if XRP continues to enhance its functionality and stability in the future, it could become an important catalyst driving price increases amid the long-term trend of real-world asset tokenization.
