The Chinese government officially denied the recently raised rumors of US-China trade negotiations. According to Walter Bloomberg on the 24th (local time), the Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated, "Currently, there are no economic or trade negotiations going on between the United States and China," and dismissed reports that "negotiations are underway" as completely untrue.

The Ministry of Commerce continued to emphasize, "If the United States is truly sincere in resolving the issues, it should first withdraw its unilateral tariff measures against China." This position is directly opposed to US President Donald Trump's statement that "we are in daily contact with China and the negotiations are going well."

This remark suggests that US-China trade conflicts could intensify again, coinciding with the recent high tariff policy announced by President Trump. Particularly, with President Trump forecasting a meeting with President Xi Jinping in early May, China's firm stance indicates significant hurdles to setting up a future negotiation table.
