Nvidia, Partnership announcement with Arbitrum delayed
Nvidia shows a cautious attitude towards cryptocurrency-related projects (Source: AFP)
Nvidia is attracting market attention by postponing the announcement of a partnership with Arbitrum, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, just before the announcement was scheduled.
Arbitrum was to be disclosed as the only Ethereum partner in Nvidia's 'Ignition AI Accelerator' program, but Nvidia decided to delay the announcement without any explanation. This has also caused setbacks to Arbitrum's plan to strengthen its position within the AI ecosystem.
In the industry, there is an analysis that Nvidia is still maintaining a cautious attitude in dealing with cryptocurrency-related projects. In fact, Nvidia has excluded cryptocurrency-based startups from its AI startup support program 'Inception', and the current Arbitrum case also shows that this trend continues.
Arbitrum tried to expand the possibility of convergence between AI and blockchain, but Nvidia still seems to be burdened by the direct connection with cryptocurrency. It is drawing attention whether the postponement of this announcement will affect the entry of cryptocurrency projects into the AI industry in the future.
There is also interest in whether further cooperation discussions or policy changes will follow.
