Ripple has officially stated that it will postpone its Initial Public Offering (IPO) plans and focus on business expansion for the time being. In an interview with CNBC, Monica Long, President of Ripple, stated, “We are not currently considering an IPO” and added, “We have billions of dollars in cash on our balance sheet, and liquidity is very ample.”

Ripple once kept the possibility of an IPO open following a legal dispute with the SEC, but recently the internal consensus on pursuing an IPO seems to have decreased. Marcus Infanger, Executive Vice President of RippleX, also stated, “We will discuss an IPO when the time is right, but there is no need to rush now.”

Meanwhile, President Long recently commented on the development of their stablecoin RLUSD, stating, “The stablecoin market is growing rapidly, and it is possible that the market size will exceed 3 trillion dollars in the next few years.” It is interpreted that Ripple has chosen a strategy to utilize liquidity through mergers and acquisitions rather than an IPO and accelerate business growth.
