Content based on the true story of James Howells, famous as an early Bitcoin investor, will be produced in the United States. American entertainment media company LEBUL plans to officially produce content based on the story of James Howells from Wales, United Kingdom, who gained global attention for discarding a hard disk containing about 8,000 BTC.

According to blockchain specialized media The Block, LEBUL recently secured exclusive rights to develop Howells' true story into content. Accordingly, the incident will be publicly released to the public in various media formats such as documentaries, podcasts, and social-based storytelling.

LEBUL representative Liz Van Allen stated, “This story is not just a personal mistake but a live-action-based tech thriller entangled with digital assets worth 1 billion dollars,” expressing the ambition to vividly recreate a symbolic moment in Bitcoin history.

In 2013, James Howells accidentally threw away a hard disk he was storing at the time in a landfill. The disk contained about 8,000 BTC, which is worth hundreds of billions won at current market prices. Since then, Howells has filed several lawsuits against the local council to retrieve it, but the hard disk has not yet been found.

This decision to create content is expected to become a symbolic event that draws the dramatic elements of cryptocurrency into popular culture, amidst the current trend where the boundaries between digital assets and real life are becoming increasingly blurred.
