With President Donald Trump's suspension of the Iran strike and the possibility of an interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve (Fed) having a positive effect on the market, the US stock market was uniformly on the rise.

President Trump stated that he would decide on whether to strike Iran within two weeks, which stimulated geopolitical uncertainty, but the possibility of a diplomatic solution calmed investor sentiment. In fact, three European countries began urgent negotiations with the Iranian foreign minister in Geneva, Switzerland.

Additionally, the Fed's accommodative stance supported the market. In an interview with CNBC, Fed Governor Christopher Waller suggested the "possibility of a rate cut in July," stating that "inflation is easing." This comment came shortly after the Fed froze the benchmark interest rate at 4.25~4.5% for the fourth consecutive time.

Waller emphasized that "tariff-induced inflation may be temporary," declaring that they would not rely solely on short-term indicators for rate decisions. The market partially reflected expectations for a cut in July following his remarks, but still places more weight on the possibility of a cut in September.

Meanwhile, international oil prices closed lower due to expectations of a diplomatic solution despite concerns over Middle Eastern conflicts.
