The Iranian Parliament has passed a bill that includes blocking the strategic maritime stronghold, the Strait Of Hormuz. According to Walter Bloomberg, this measure came right after a large-scale airstrike by the United States, heightening tensions in the Middle East again.

The Strait Of Hormuz is a key passage where about 20% of the world's oil maritime transport passes through, and Iran's decision could have significant repercussions on the international energy market. The bill passed by the parliament now only awaits the final decision of Iran's Supreme Security Institution.

Previously, it was reported that the United States precisely struck three major Iranian nuclear facilities last night. Such airstrikes are raising concerns as they suggest a possible escalation into full-scale military conflict between Iran and the United States.

Depending on the stance of Iran's Supreme Security Institution and the responses from the United States and the international community, the Middle Eastern situation seems likely to become even more unstable.
